Two Year Old Longeline | Two Year Old In Hand Trail Class Proposals

February 20, 2013 14:39 by Jaime
The basic rules of both Two Year Old Longeline and Two Year Old In Hand Trail would mimic their yearling counterparts. Longeliners United

Earlier this summer, I initiated a group of Facebook for those of us that are interested in showing yearlings. I titled it Longeliners United, but we include Yearling In Hand Trail in our discussions as well. The only rule beyond basic ones like "be nice" is no posting horses for sale. Please try to keep all other posts related to longeline and showing yearlings. [More]

Showing a New Horse Every Season - Yearling Only Classes

November 5, 2011 09:41 by Jaime
Figuring out these details and more are part of what makes showing yearlings all the more interesting. No two are alike and the sooner you mold your program to fit your yearling instead of the other way around, the sooner happiness and success in your relationship and showing is going to come.

Yearling In Hand Trail - Leading #2

September 21, 2011 10:48 by Jaime
The importance of proper leading skills can't be overemphasized for yearling in hand trail. As entries in this new class continue to rise, the patterns will continue to become more complex. To be really ready and really competitive for the larger shows in the fall, such as the APHA Fall Championship World Show, I would really like to have my yearling leading as nicely as a well started showmanship horse.
