OK so this post isn't much like my others. This is a broad, general question. Please, please, if you know the answer, put it in my comments below!

Why do people assume that the subject of any horse video on Youtube is for sale?
I have gone back and verified that any horse for sale says so. Ones that are not for sale do not have those three little words listed there. Too easy?
I have quizzed my other non-horsey friends about their youtube videos. None of them have ever received random solicitations of purchase for items within their shared videos. Similarly, I have never been asked how much for any of my dogs, which I also have videos of on youtube.
As far as I know, youtube was started as a way for folks to share videos of lots of stuff. It was not originally intended to be one large video marketplace. Why would one assume it was a free online advertising site for horses for sale?
It has become so bothersome that I have posted several recent videos privately. I want to share my escapades with friends but it's just plain tiresome to answer silly youtube messages.
